WHY BE BAPTISED?

 

Water Baptism is one of the next steps that a Christ follower can take on their faith journey. It is specifically for people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

 

This is as easy as A – B – C

A – Admit that you have sinned and ask for forgiveness

B – Believe that Jesus died and rose again to give you new life

C – Commit to follow Jesus and obey His commands

If you have done this then you are part of God’s family and together we are one family in the name of Jesus! So why choose baptism as your next step with Jesus?

WHY CHOOSE BAPTISM?

1. Jesus did it! Jesus was not a sinner, yet He humbled Himself in obedience to identify with us and give us an example to follow.

2. It is an act of obedience. If we love Jesus then we will obey His commands.

3. It is an external sign of an internal reality. Baptism is a public declaration that you are follower of Jesus Christ and the simple next step that we take after giving our lives to Jesus.
