FOLLOWING JESUS
Who is Jesus and why do we follow him?
God has revealed himself to us through his son Jesus, who is the visible image of the invisible God.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
Jesus came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers the free gift of eternal life to all who believe in him as their Lord and Saviour.
If you would like to take this step of faith, it’s as easy as ABC.
● Admit you have fallen short and sin has separated you from God.
● Believe in Jesus and accept him as your Lord and Saviour.
● Commit to follow him from this day forward.
You can pray just like this
Jesus, I admit that I have made mistakes and chosen to follow my own imperfect ways. I believe that you died on the cross for my sin and rose again on the third day giving me new life and a clean start. Today I commit to follow your way and to make you my Lord and Saviour. Please give me your Holy Spirit so that I might live for you and in you.
In Jesus name I pray - Amen.
